I think its having already lived a gazillion might have given me a clue. If you mean from the time I was born, I'm still pretty sure I'd know by now because one absolute condition I would have for being immortal is that I couldn't feel pain. Can you imagine being in pain for eternity? I know some faith-based myths would have you believe that's possible, but my response to that would be, what kind of sick humans would even come up with a concept like that?

i would hope we would sense that something was not, what would normally be perceived as normal once we had started to out live our peers. but surly one should ask the question how can we be sure we exist, is Descartes phrase "i think therefore i am" reasonable enough to believe we actually do exist and until we have proof of our existence, we cant know about our immortality. there is a lot more to our universe than meets the eye, nothing should be ruled out. are we all being controlled like a virtual video game or is divine intervention playing its part. you don't know your immortal until your dead and then everything shall become clear.

According to mythology there are two types of immortality. The first is where you will never die of natural causes, but you can be killed. In the second, you are not only immortal but invulnerable to all forms of attack.

I would recommend avoiding any sort of tests due to this fact. Just wait and see if you die when you are supposed to.

On the other hand, if you insist on testing your invulnerability, please do something more interesting than poisoning yourself... make it public and dramatic so that the rest of us benefit.

I dont recommend trying that! I hope your right about being immortal, but even so i would wait it out and test it from the dying of old age cause of death.

I would set off and find the Eight Immortals. But we're talking different immortality here ;-)

As the Queen song asks, "Who wants to live forever?" If you were immortal, you would know it in time, without having to test yourself. Think about it--all your friends have grown old and died and you didn't, that might be a clue....

Immortal but aging would be a real bummer.
Immortal and not growing older, that would be good.

I am suspicious by nature. I would always suspect there is a trick in this immortality. I wouldn't try to verify it by myself.
