here is the problem elected officials bring in people with their party affiliation generally mindless drone that spout rhetoric but not much in sub stained facts. So if you are employed by the Government and are there to do your job your boss generally knows less than you do but he is allowed to over rule you for what ever purpose.

Having said that the people are miss served because based on WHO is in charge one day what you are doing is legal and the next is illegal due to a political appointment.

So the jobs are not meant to be filled for performance reasons but political reasons. This is wh y there are scandals in the Government because you can control a section of it by appointment and do what ever you want with little over sight and therefore in that 1 section you are the Government. Stating that the people appointed bring in their friends to do nothing and get big money while the people actually working do not get raises or promotions.

This is why your Gov. has such turn over and burn out all the qualified people leave.

That is why politics is so messy its the ultimate form of welfare for a political group.

most of the questions that draw attention are like that. there are serious questions but nobody has answers and facts so they skip over that. weed out the stupid ones its not hard to do.

except every once in a while throw your mud too. hey this has to be fun sometimes too right?

the main problem is most people dont have the time or willingness to really devout toward all aspects of the complicated world of politics. they catch their talking points and go with it. They dont know history, they dont have even a minute amount of the facts they just stick with the little they know. Granted there are some that do have some arsenal but still are convoluted but hey what can you do, the mind is an amazing and confusing thing

I agree. A little bantering is fun, but today there hasn't been any real political questions other than a few kids getting help on some homework questions.
I've even become involved in the UK debates because they are not as stupid and cruel to each other. They ,too, have serious political and social controversies in their country. Difference is that they do seem interested in others' opinions.

dot & carry---okay, okay. that is truly funny. And...NO ONE GOT HURT!

It works this way. As long as liberal and conservative factions keep up the infighting and tussling, it takes attention off of the real problems our government has plaguing it. The 2 party system is not working. Neither side has all the answers, neither side will agree on anything of major importance and as long as we, as a society continue to look to government to save us, we will remain in this quagmire of debate and ill will. Do I have a solution of fact? No, I do not, but I am open to possibilities that might help us to be what we were designed to be as a country. I will at the least consider other options and solutions.

I consider it harmless venting, for the most part.

Occasionally, some serious political discussions take place, but they are fewer and farther between, these days.

The truth is, while we are caught in party blame games, politics as usual ensues on Capitol Hill, and government is controlling more and more of our lives.

How did you get honest and unbiased and political in the same sentence with breaking down in mad laughter ? Anyway, political opinions are formed by whining and complaining. It's the American way.

A sane human being with any intelligence is conscious that shows like Sean Hannity and Ed Shultz are opinion shows. A sane human being with any intelligence tunes in to shows like those to hearken to the opinion of the host.

At last, someone else who has seen the problem.

I think the answer may be that the people on this forum aren't
happy unless they are complaining about something.

Thank you very much, while you're up.

None...lol. Welcome to America, land of beaurocracy and hipocracy !!!!
Actually, i think the new reality is that the newly elected Dems have some good ideas, but Bush still has veto power, so while it's nice to have a more "balanced" (lol) government, not much has changed yet and not much will until 2008.
