My divorce....it was the darkest time in my life. I was so very blessed to have wonderful friends (many of whom had gone through divorce) and a loving family who were there for me to talk to and cry with when I needed it. I had never lived on my own (got married at 18) and there I was...49 years old and scared to death to be alone. Those first 6 months or so, I would tell myself "just get through today". Every morning I would think that I just needed to get through that day. The divorce was final almost 2 years ago, and I have learned that I my life didn't end just because my marriage did. I also learned that I could live the rest of my life being angry and hurt (which wouldn't change what happened anyway) or I could let the anger go and get on with my life. I chose to let go of the anger..............
