I started writing a book today. I'm a guy, but the main protagonist, who narates the story, is a woman. How can I be sure my depiction is accurate?

I should point out that I am a tranny, but I don't really think that's the same thing.

If you get stuck on something come on here and ask women how they would depicted a certain thing and chose what you like. You can not go wrong with alot of different womens anwsers. Good Luck on the book.

I myself never pretend to be a man. good god i've never for one moment wished to be in such a sorry state, ( no offense) but i enjoy the heck out of my womanhood! there is absolutely no way for you to get inside a woman's head unless you start to take estrogen and begin to bleed. the only way for you to write this book my Friend is to have daily consults with a real woman. if you can afford it you'd better hire yourself an understudy, either that or go for a sex change operation. unless of course you are among the most fortunate to have been blessed with a muse.

No but my friend dresses like a guy sometimes. Listen to a woman friend close to you. Keep mental notes on how she talks, describes things, or even just uses the vocabulary she has. I hope your book does well.

No, I never do. It wouldn't work for me. I dont' have that skill. Pick a female friend and talk to her...a lot! Or rather, listen to her a lot. Get the feel of the voice and how she uses her words. It's been done, and done well, but you can tell the guy really listened to women to do it. Good luck.
