3.3 if you are adding 1 tenth: 3.52 if you are adding 1 tenth of 3.2 which is 3.2 + .32 = 3.52 Personally, at first glance, I would probably go for 3.3 even though it is slightly confusing the way you write it

3.2 - -as one person said, the first decimal place is tenths, the second hundredths etc. If it helps, use a calculator to turn fractions into decimals for you - getting 1/10 as a decimal means putting 1 divided by 10. Its a nice way of making kids more confident about the fraction-decimal relationship - they sometimes get a bit worried about converting bigger fractions, and it means they can check their work!

Koenigseg, there is ambiguity in the question.

If she means going up by just a tenth, then yes 3.3 is the answer; however if she means going up by one tenth of the total then 3.52 is the answer.

So you add your 3.2 and 0.32 = 3.52
