Without warning frank felt himself forced against the wall, his breath snatched from him as the assailant pressed his face against the cold rough brickwork.
In an instant he felt many hands grab at his shoulders, his legs were swept from under him and tied effortlessly as he was carried helpless to the waiting car.
I was then going to put "Frank shouted - 'hang on lads, will this take long, I've left a pie in the oven ?" but perhaps it would detract from the general ambience?

John shoved Frank into the wall. "I can't believe you did that," he said, and kicked him for good measure. The other two men grabbed Frank by the shoulders. "Let me go," he muttered. "Shut up," said John, and ordered the others to tie him up. He was then dragged out to the car.
