Sorry not sure where to post this question! I was wondering what your opinions are on the UK splitting? I know a lot of people want this to happen, just wondering what their reasons are. Do you think it'd be a good thing or a bad thing?

I think that Scotland and Wales both have their own identity and language and there are probably separatist movements. Northern Ireland should be returned to Ireland IMHO.

I have mixed views on this question. Overall I believe the UK has been a success, four different countries working as one, and I am not sure that to change the situation would, in the long term, be beneficial to any of the current UK Countries. I do, however, believe the current situation cannot continue indefinitely, Scotland, and to a lesser extent, Wales, having responsibility for a number of their own affairs, but being able to influence English matters.

There's strength in numbers. Besides, do you have any idea what a powerful role model the UK has become throughout history for all freedom-loving people around the world.
Agree to disagree. Work on what you all have in common instead of focusing on differences.

It could be a good thing overall.
We could get some real Englishmen in Parliament instead of being dictated to by Scotsmen who don't even establish the Laws in their own country but enshrine them in English Law.
I'm all for them sticking up for themselves. What! with an extra £1,500 per head, they might think twice if they had to find their own money!!!

Good thing, London cannot seriously make decisions for the rest of the country, it needs people actually living there to understand the needs of its society and to act on those needs accordingly

if we all split up and stayed in europe, we would still be together in the united states of europe, under a foreign flag instead of our own. it would be a con trick to satisfy the non thinking moron.
if we split up and was independant of europe and made our own laws and everything. we would also have to have a good defence system of all for one and one for all. it could be most satisfying,But i believe the lliars of parliament want to split us up to weeken us as part of the long term plan to starve us into submission to the U.S.E>guarenteeing the m.e.ps a gravy train forever for themselves, one can still do business in europe without her telling us what to do.
