Heated soccer fields are a very common practice in Europe. NFL and the NFL teams make millions of dollars each season. Why do we keep playing in snow? Cities like Denver, Green Bay, Cleveland, Buffalo, etc. should invest a few bucks in this. Don't you think?

If this question spawned from last night game in Seattle, it's because Seattle isn't used to getting snow. Just rain. About those other cities you listed, I don't know. That's a good question. You'd think someone would have thought of that by now. On the other hand, I love watching football in the snow. It's more challenging. Changes things up a bit. I don't think I've ever seen a football game called on account of the weather like baseball. You can play football in anything, snow, sleet, rain, mud, sun. It's all fun.

Football is in a far greater league then Soccer and the two sports should not be compared.

As for the question, snow adds a whole new factor to outdoor stadiums and I think if you asked the players that call those fields home, they would want the snow to stay!

New England Patriots home field at Gillette Stadium was heated but that never helped with the poor grass surfaces of the past, grass needs sun not just warm soil, not sure if it's still heated with the new artificial turf, I'll have to ask the grounds keeper next game

Because real football is meant to to be played in the cold. What would you like a foot massager on the benches too for their precious little tootsies?

most of the "cold" cities, have older stadiums and the dollar amount to update them is keeping them from doing it. Denver has a newer stadium and it was put in.

They get paid a fortune to play. To bad if its cold. Spend some of that overpayment salary they make & by warm clothes for themselves. If they can't take the cold stay home and forfiet.

That's the difference between soccer and football.
If you can't play in the cold, stay home, drink some hot chocolate, and watch Oprah!
