Should they go QB, or play it safe and pick OL or Defense?

First off, there has to be a QB drafted some time, whether it's Quinn or Troy Smith or even Chad Henne if he comes out early. How popular would he be in Detroit, eh?
Still, a team in this condition should trade down for multiple picks. They are going to have to do something with Mike Williams, as well, so he might be decent trade bait as well. They need serious help on both sides of the ball, but obviously, Kitna is nobody's answer at QB--the most important position in football.

Honestly, I'm shocked at how the team underachieves. If you look up and down that roster (except at QB), you'd swear this team could go 4-12 without practicing. It's a shame these guys just can't get it together.
However, when a team (business) does so poorly, one must look at management first.

Quinn is the pick...but if Matt Millen is still doing the selecting, theyll prolly draft Desmond Howard or Rocket Ismail.. and yes i know they were drafted many many moons ago, witch is my point, Millen is a Lousy GM and will figure sum way to screw the pick up.... He needs a QB. If they dont get the first pick and Quinn is gone by them, they need to look hard at the Louisville QB Brian Brohm, or even the Ohio state QB Troy Smith, but they NEED a QB to build with.

Unfortunately the draft will do nothing for the Lions until someone buys the Lions from the Ford family.

well, except for his spelling troubles (d-fense). Why hypenate it anyway? Is it faster than typing the letter E? I do agree that the Lions need DEFENSE. I also wouldn't see a problem if they were to draft an offensive lineman.

Definately not a receiver. I would have to say you can build through free agency. Draft the best defensive player.

They should trade the pick and get something useful like a new front office and head coach.
