I think that anyone that hates or kills anyone because of their race are wrong. The KKK was a bunch of confused people who couldn't except the fact that the world around them were changing. Some people can't deal with new things very well, and they are an example of that.
I don't know if anything could have been done to stop them from killing. I do think that if more people could have come together they might have help prevented some of the killing. But when people have hate inside them that deep you can't stop them all. Which is a sad thing because by killing off all those people or killing off anyone of any different race, they missed out on the things that race can bring to the table. They miss out on learning about the people they don't understand all because they are blinded my hate. I'm glad that we have come a long ways from that time, but it's not over yet. Look at what that guy from Seinfeld did...granted he didn't kill anyone, but words still hurt. I just think (which is sad) that we still have miles to go before we can all be equal.
That's two cents and I'm stickin' to it. take it easy!

Do you want to hear something interesting? The NRA was set up the same year the KKK was outlawed and one of their rules was that black people weren't allowed guns. That rule has been slightly amended these days to stipulate that poor black people aren't allowed guns.
Sadly, the KKK is still very much in power even today, it's just got a different name.

Wrong. Utterly wrong. A little 'actual' police activity would have stopped it. It's a known fact that a lot of them were actually police, and that should have been stopped, immediately. The police should be there to protect ALL citizens, not just the ones they happen to like.

It was and I think is a very terrible thing. They also target other minorities. No one in my family was ever involved in such a terrible organization. We live in a part of a country that was connected to The Underground Railroad.

we cant prevent it. i think it was wrong though to kill people just because they were different... thats how wars start. i dream of a peaceful world. the only people that can stop things like that are the people that are about to do it.

They were, and still are wrong. Death sentences for those who murdered innocent people. it is obvious that the Devil is behind hatred like that!
