He's determined. This is his strength & weakness.

If he channeled his determination positively, towards fixing the problems that we have in this country, he would be one of the better Presidents in history (this coming from a Democrat.)

However, the President has decided to channel his determination into "Staying the Course" and sticking through Iraq until there is a resolution (win, loss, new President; whatever it may be.) This is his major downfall; if he would have pulled out of Iraq (today he said he is NOT), instead of being extremely determined, he'd have a much more powerful legacy.

Greatest strength: Determination
Greatest weakness(s): Failure to understand the long term implications of his actions, failure to gain an adequate understanding of the issues he is making decisions about, beholden to big business interests, lack of intellectual curiosity, and a god complex.

It amazes me that so many people list his greates weakness as his inability to communicate his ideas. The problem is his lack of ideas and forethought. I also dont understand why so many people think he is such a moral individual just because he says he is religous? Look at his actions not his words. He has consitently cut aid programs and gave tax cuts to the upper 5% does that sound like someone who is looking out for the underprivileged or even the middle class? There is a genocide going on in Darfur but we havent sent any troops to stop the needless killing? Is it becuase they dont have any natural oil reserves? Thousands of our troops have died in Iraq for little or no gain in our nations security or even after there was not connection with 9/11 or weapons of mass destruction, yet we must stay the course during the ongoing civil war. Those actions dont strike me as particularly moral. People need to take off the blinders on their party affilation or religous orientation. I will now step off my soapbox.

His greatest strength is his good understanding of economics, a skill sadly lacking by his father. This will cause him to have great respect a generation from now. WeaknessesIi will leave to others. He suffers from the massed effect of the left wing media, and from the fact that Americans on the whole do not have the patience to fight a long war, no matter how small the number of lives lost.(This is a plus for the people in that they go all out for victory in the short term.)

Examples of economics, he understands that taxing the income of productive people cause less drive to be productive and thus a smaller plus for the national economy and for government resulting revenues, both of which hurt us all, including the unproductive people. Further, rewarding indolence encourages same, again hurting all of us as the national economy suffers as do government revenues.

Another example is that he understands that inadequate Social Security finances means (1) higher taxation, hurting us as individuals and consequently again making productivity less rewarding and investment harder to develop with harm to the economy, tax revenues, and all citizens; or (2) sharply reduced future Social Security distributions, with the same harm to individuals, the economy, and government revenues; or (3) allowing individual people who so voluntarily elect to release Social Security from the need to pay them in the future with a resulting release of funds for those who do not so elect, but with these volunteers being allowed to devert some of the taxes to investment in stocks which have odds in their favor of overall benefit from their choice of over 250000 to one.

He is an honest, man of God who is truly trying to do what he feels is best for our country. If not, why would he not back down to all of the citicism. Remember, he has more information than we do. Also, the President does not making decisions on his own. I am so sick and tired of hearing people complain about him.

His weakness? Public Speaking.
