This does not make sense!
No one has a right to demand no pregnancy on a job!
Life is precious. To feel life in your tummy is such a miracle. Never would I ever have an abortion...the aftermath shows it is also a mighty trauma for the mother...years later a lot of emotional problems.
Lawfully, it sounds like this is a legal case. GET professional help how...I would suggest for your friend.

1) They can't fire your friend for being pregnant. Pregnant women are protected.

2) If she wants an abortion, she needs to talk to a doctor. She can always call Planned Parenthood. They are a good resource because they will also discuss with her options including helping her deal with her work situation.

Nobody should be forced to bear a child they don't want. I feel for your friend, especially as it seems she is the breadwinner of the family and her having the child would put the entire family's welfare in jeapordy.

RU-486 is the preferred drug.

May all the people who condemn your friend's choice be forced to walk a mile in her shoes.

Um - said drugs require a physician's prescription, so perhaps you can get your acquaintance to go see a doctor? If cost is a problem, why can't you and her fellow co-workers help out with that?
