- Are you using a complex screensaver - it runs in the background and eats memory. I had fun with mine, then changed it to blank.
- How many programs do you load at startup? Maybe you should check it out and ensure you are running just what you need.
-To do this: cl Start, cl Settings, cl Taskbar and Start Menu.
-cl Start Menu, cl Customize, cl Remove.
-cl the icon for the program you wish to remove
-then cl Remove.
-This will prevent the program from loading at startup, but will not remove the program from the hard disk.
-Are you in a large file? If so, save frequently to restore full memory access. (Your work remains in memory until you “save” it to disk.
1.Did you run an error check? Open My Computer,
Right-cl on C:, Select Properties, Tools – Run an Error Check ( checkmark “check all and fix); then run a Defrag
2.Are you using Yahoo Toolbar? Run a full Norton Antispy.
3.From IE, click Tools, Internet Options
delete cookies
delete files (offline files)
clear history (set days to save to 0 if you want)
click o.k., and Restart
3.click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools – run Disk Cleanup
4.click Start, Run ipconfig renew (type ipconfig space renew)
All these things should be done regularly. The more frequently they are run, the less time they take.
-Note: Games and videos are mostly graphics. Graphics create large files. If this doesn’t help, you should consider getting more memory.

There could be Spywares on your computer. Run your Anti-Virus software and make sure that Anti-Virus software is fully updated.
Also delete Offline Temprory Internet Files.
Open Internet Explorer> Go to Tools > Internet Option.
Click on the Delete Files buton, and select the option "Delete all offline content" Click on Delete Cookies also.
Also go to Start > Run > Type %TEMP% and click on Ok.
It will open a Temp folder, empty this folder.
This should help.

The IP address of your Gateway (router) might have changed. There is a way to get its new IP address by connecting a computer to it, then from that computer use the following steps: 1) Hold down [Windows Key] and then press [R] 2) A box will pop up that will let you type things into it 3) Type in 'cmd' and hit [enter] 4) A black box (command prompt) will pop up 5) Type 'ipconfig' into it 6) A lot of text will appear, look for the one that says 'Local Area Connection' and then underneath it 'Default Gateway' 7) Take note of the IP address you see under 'Default Gateway' 8) Type that IP address into your web browser 9) The default usernames for routers tend to be 'admin' or 'administrator', the default passwords tend to be 'admin' or simply left blank.

good question, I'm in the same boat. I have even tried to get out of this account or what ever you call it, I can't even do that. Sorry I can't help you with this, sometimes it's just nice to know you're not alone. Good luck my friend.

Not a coincidence. Turn off your computer, Cable/DSL modem, router, let it all sit for a few minutes, grab a cold drink and plug them back in in this sequence, Cable/DSL Modem (Wait about 60 seconds), turn on your router, and them turn your computer back on. Should work.
If you have dialup, just restart your computer, you should be in good shape.
