AKA Bladerunner.
If so, what does it imply?

It's not even close, I'm afraid. Yahoo!Answers can't MAKE anyone feel anything.

Unlike the empathy box: Some people empathize, and some don't. The amount varies with the ability of the questioner to express themselves. Different people have different reactions to the same stimulus.

But you've got an interesting reference there, at least. This may be no empathy box, but I certainly see plenty of kipple around!

Don't think so. I read the book a while ago, but I recall the Empathy Box as a device that helps you arrange your moods according to your surroundings. I believe Yahoo Q&A simply works as a way to connect universal knowledge. I had this professor who used to say "Us together we can know it all". You as an individual might not know something, but for sure someone else does.

What does it imply? That all of us participating are chickenheads? Hmmm, thought provoking question. It does allow us to see what subjects are on the minds of a lot of people. It also allows us to see the beating spelling is taking along with grammar. Are we being dehumanized more and more by technology so that we need yet another device to remind us about feelings? I do not think technology is robbing us of empathy as it did in Dick's story, rather it is failure to live ethical lives.
