You produce milk after you deliver. It is something hormonal. I have heard of exceptions to this rule though, but it is not common. Usually the last 10 weeks or so..you might leak a little colostrum...but other than that..you wont have milk until after you deliver (it can take a few days to actually have milk after you deliver..before that it will be that thin milky substance...colostrum).

Most women don't produce milk until a day to three after birth. Until then if clear like liquid comes out of the nipples it's probably colostrum (might be bad spelling on that). It's a milk like substance than has some nutritional value and anti-bodies to keep the baby going until the milk comes in.

Everyone's body is different. Colostrum is the "before" milk that is slightly yellowish and tart tasting. That can actually start coming in quite early. Most won't get it until late in their pregnancy though. I started leaking that around 6 months. Regular milk usually comes in 24 hours to 3 days after you deliver your baby. The doctors say the colostrum is enough to satisfy the baby until your milk really comes in. So don't worry if you're leaking early...its not a sign of labor.

The actual milk won't come in until about 2 -3 days after you have the baby. But you will get the clear coming out around 25 wks. give or take a few depending on the person.

Some women start leaking milk as early as 3-4 months. The general time frame is usually 32-36 weeks.

Many women may leak colostrum, the precursor to milk, as early as twenty weeks. However, your body won't start producing breastmilk until a day or two after your baby is born. The first couple of days of life, babies need colostrum for their digestive system. I wouldn't expect actual breastmilk until after your baby has been nursing for anywhere up to four days.

Enjoy your pregnancy and your baby!

you don't start to produce milk until the last couple of weeks during pregnancy, but even then it probably won't be enough to pump, just a few drops.
