Alabama has always picked coaches that were a part of their alumni but they might change that this time.

It's still to early to tell but here is a list of people from this mornings paper of who they are considering.

Miami Dauphins - Nick Saban
South Carolina's - Steve Spurrier
Virginia Tech's - Frank Beamer
Louisville's - Bobby Petrino
West Virginia's - Rich Rodriguez
Georgia Tech's - Chan Gailey
Arkansas - Houston Nutt

Nick Saban has already said he's not leaving Miami

Who ever needs a part time job.
The powers that be at Alabama are goof balls that need to be replaced before a real coach is hired.
The sport talk radio in B'ham is so full of bull---- that 95% of the callers do not have an idea of who it is going to be.The names mentioned are good and there have been many but it is not a good time of the year for a coach to say anything. So keep the quesses coming in they make good reading and listening..
Personnally they need to support who ever they hire.Let him run the program and the arm chair quarterbacks and coaches that found their team shirt at a thrift store. So leave the next coach alone and let him run the team.

Probably their eighth or tenth choice. Alabama is no longer a plum coaching assignment, chiefly because of their crazy fans, the Machiavellian politics of their board of directors, and their incompetent athletic director. Seriously, this has to be the most dysfunctional program in college football today, and I cannot imagine any decent, established coach wanting to take the job.

I think John L. Smith from Michigan State would be a good fit. I am a Michigan fan, so it hurts me to say that. But he wasnt a bad coach.

Nutt and spurrier both said that they aren't leaving. Thank god because i dont think i could see alabama running a spread offense lol. also, i can't image Rich leaving while he still has slaton and white so i dont know.

I say that they will not drive Nick Saban away from Miami. They will probably end up with Larry Coker or Jim Mora.
