Yes there are natural remedies for high blood pressure.
First cut the salt down or out in your diet. Take a walk everyday. You don't have to power walk but walk at least 15-20 minutes. As you get more used to it you can increase your walking pace. Take the stairs whenever possible. Cut out the junk food. If you smoke cut way back or stop if you can smoking does raise your blood pressure. Eat bananas. Drink plenty of water. Get a cd or video of deep breathing excercizes this will also help you to reduce your stress level and as a by product reduce your blood pressure. Try the pomegranate juice or better yet eat a pomagranate and chew up the seeds, they're a good source of fiber. Try to stay away from processed foods like frozen dinners, white bread and donuts and fast food.Eat whole wheat bread - Check The Label - If Whole Wheat Flour isn't the first ingredient its NOT whole wheat bread. Eat vegetables with lots of color in them Tomatoes, red & yellow peppers, squash, kale, mustard greens, spinach, broccoli rabe. There's lots of real good stuff in them to keep you healthy. Also eat fresh fruit/ they too have lots of stuff in them to keep you healthy and the complex carbs break down slowly and help to keep your appetite from getting out of control. Keep in mind that this is the only body you get and you have to treat it kindly. It's a really complex piece of machinery if you will much like our earth's ecosystem. You mess with one thing and it always affects other things in the system. You don't have to go on a crash diet or take pills if you take some responsibility for your eating habits if you learn how to respect the vehicle that is your body you can reduce your blood pressure and cholestoral too.
I have done it and so have lots of other people & you can too. Good Luck and happy eating.

I work in a health department and I have a co-worker with high blood pressure. One of our associates told him to try pomegranate juice everyday. Well, after one month, his blood pressure went down and has stayed down. I have always heard the stories about this certain person using a natural remedy and being cured but never really believed it until I saw it happen.
And remember, many prescription drugs are derived from or modeled after herbs and fuits.

there are no natural remedies that will lower your bp, but there are steps you can take which will help to lower it.
Vigorous exercise for half an hour 5 times a week, reduce your salt intake, cut down on caffeine and all other stimulants.
I have got 2 really good books that my Mum bought me when I found out about my high bp, 'high bp - diet against it' by Dr James Scala, and 'high bp food, facts & recipes' by Angie Jefferson & Fiona Hunter. They both focus on controlling your bp without medication.
HOWEVER, until you get into it, see your gp for medication to bring it down initially, then gradually come off it as your bp comes down naturally.

Hi

Any of the books by Patrick Holford will give you the lowdown on getting your blood pressure down or you could have a consultation with a nutritional therapist.

Garlic supplements help to thin the blood and supplementing with essential fatty acids can also help (such as codliver oil, borage oil etc).

ye drink water

you need lots of water

you need 1 litre for every 50lbs body weight

being dehydrated is a major cause of high bp, your body is pushing mud around, so get on the water. plain water with nothing in it.

you lose 1.5 litres of water a day just breathing and repiration so if you ae not geting at least that amount your body fluids will be like mud and put strain on your systems

do it for 2 weeks and let us know how wel your body responds.

do not do this if you are on dialasis ( dangerous )

Yes there are lots of things you can do - many of them already mentioned in answers - but it is best to see a qualified practitioner - herbalist, naturopath, nutritionist, whatever - who can go through your medical history and develop a programme specifically tailored to your requirements.

It may seem expensive to start with but it's better than wasting loads of money on useless supplements and MLM scams.

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine or NAC for short. 600 mg. once per day. NAC is fairly cheap for a supplement. I think I paid $14 for a 2 month supply from GNC.
