every person is different, depending on whether they are under, over, or the right weight before becoming pregnant. I was on the low side of normal for my height and gained 30 with my first child (he was 4 weeks early). This time around I started 10 pounds heavier and have gained 20 pounds at 6 months. As long as you are eating healthy and excersising(ask your doctor about excersise first), don't worry about how much you gain. You'll lose it later!

I'm on week 21 with fraternal twins. I've only managed to gain 1 lbs. From the start of my pregnancy I had the most of the day sickness (a.k.a. morning sickness). Which is how I managed to lose 15 lbs during that whole "morning sickness" ordeal. Doctor says the weight loss has been normal. The slow weight gain is ok also as long as I eat even if they are small meals, but at least every 2 hours per the doctor.
I have become the pickiest eater ever. The babies don't seem to care for chicken at all and once in a while I'll do beef. I mostly do veggies and fruit and get my protein through nuts and grains. I'm curious to see how much weight I actually gain by the end of the pregnancy.

I gained 21 lbs when I was pregnant. I went from 140 to 161. By the half way point, I had only gained about 10 lbs. I was in the Army, so was exercising daily and walking all over the place. I also ate whatever I wanted. My son was 8 lbs. 13 oz. at birth.

About half a stone at the end of my pregnancy, but after she was born I dropped 1 and half stone below my pre-pregnancy weight, most women I've spoken to have experienced this. But be warned if you're not intending to breast feed you can gain it back very quickly.

I didn't go over my prepregnancy weight until I was 30 weeks along..and then floated there or about the rest of the pregnancy. I did lose 12lbs in the first trimester though, so tech I gained 12lbs by 30 weeks.

It depends on several things. Every one is different, some people don't gain much and other gain loads. My partner didn't gain much until about a month before she gave birth.
