Flash has no content so won't rank well on it's own. If you have some links on the page to the other static pages with content, it should be fine. It will "hurt" a little but you can make that up with rich content and proper design.

Flash intros usually lower your rankings because the search engines are text driven. The search engines are looking for words on your site to get an understanding of what your website is about in order to properly index it. Actually it is the lack of keywords on most flash sites that cause them to rank poorly moreso than the use of flash itself.
