Hello dear!
Well, philosophy is, besides organization, life style.
Since societies are changing, philosophers adopt, but keep their principles. Diogenes was living in a broken pot! Why? to work on his mind, not destructed by material goods. How famous was he? Well, the mighty Alexander the Great visited him to have some quality time with him! He could have wealth, fame, social acceptance, etc., he preferred to work on himself! Similarly with all philosophers!
Socrates did not care to drink the poison!
Democritus to sell all his property to enable him to study, work and write his book about nuclear physics. and so on!
Thus, we have one philosophy which we see from different views.
