Hold onto whatever you're trying to send & try it again at intervals in case the person you're attempting to reach actually confirms their address which will activate the account. If they don't, then you might want to try an alternate form of contact.

The user hasn't confirmed their email yet. There's nothing you can do until they want to post a question or an answer and then they'll have to confirm it, so try to catch them.
