Women can bleed for up to 8 weeks! You generally bleed longer with a vaginal delivery (because during a c-section the vaccum a lot out of your uterus and massage your uterus so it contracts faster). I bleed for nearly 3 weeks after a c-section, but in our childbirth education class they said to expect 4-6 weeks, but it could last up to 8 weeks. You have to wait it out, it's natural and nothing you can do. I would have thought the hospital and/or doctor would have explained it to you. Good Luck! I know it's tough!

With my first it was 4 weeks and then i spotted at 6 weeks and got my first period at 8 weeks which they say is unusual to get your period so soon if you are breastfeeding but i did....then i just had a baby 5 weeks ago and my bleeding stopped at 4 weeks but then it started again....so i think i got my period again already....even though i am breastfeeding.....every woman is different but for the most part you will bleed any where from 4-6 weeks sometimes a little longer or shorter....you can talk to your doc at your 6 week appt. if you haven't stopped yet.

I would say 2 to 4wks depending on each individual. No two persons are alike. If you are breastfeeding the bleeding will be shorter because what really happen is each time the baby sucks, the uterus contracts causing blood vessels in the uterus to contract so there will be less bleeding . If you are bottle feeding the bleeding will take a little longer. There is no cause for worry.Congratulations on the birth of your baby.

The amount of stiches has nothing to do with the length of time that you bleed following child birth. What's coming out is the lining of your uterus as it shrinks back down to pre-pregnant size again. 6-8 weeks is not uncommon...as long as you aren't soaking up pads several times a day. If you have profuse bleeding you need to turn off the computer and call your doctor.

Yeah, it's been a few years, but it seems like I bled for about six weeks after both babies. I kept a squirt bottle full of water by the toilet, and used it to rinse off after each bathroom use. It really helped me heal faster, and keep things cleaner. Enjoy that new baby. They grow up so fast. Take tons of pictures. My babies are now 12 and 16. Holy Cow! How did that happen?

in specific circumstances throughout the time of the 1st trimester you're able to have whats observed as spot bleeding the place the embryo is settling down into the uterus wall. do no longer problem approximately it for now (much less confusing suggested than completed i understand) and wait to work out what your healthcare expert says. if it exchange right into a miscarriage it would commonly be observed by quite extreme abdomen soreness. merely attempt to kick back for the subsequent couple of days and bypass by what your healthcare expert says. My sister in regulation had a similar variety of problem early in her being pregnant and had an quite healthful little female.

I bled for 6 weeks with all 3 of my babys. I had an episiotomy with the first two and was never cut and didnt tear with the third, so none of that matters. It all depends on your body.

you will bleed for 6 weeks straight and do not have intercoures in the six weeks that you bleed it is not healthy, cause your body needs time to heal and recover this is very important! you can also get pregnant very easily when you bleed for that 6 weeks and that could be realy bad!!!!!!
