Okay, three years ago, if you were found having anal sex (with any sex) in the state of Idaho, you could be charged with a felony and face 5 to life in prision. In Alabama a misdemeanor punishable by up to 1 year imprisonment and $2000 fine. In Mississippi a felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment. Other states had simaliar punishments, including 1-5 years imprisionment.

Imagine that. Now, do you still believe you should do the time if you do the crime?

For those of you that have no pity or regard for those of us that make mistakes, think about what you do or did that was against the law and you simply just got away with it. Think about the people that use drugs, a life choice like anal sex. Should you try to justify any crime that doesn't hurt anyone else?

Also prostitution and other crimes like that. Why is it only legal in Nevada?

Making people "do the time" (i.e. imprisoning them) is not always the best solution anyway. For non-violent first time offenders, non-custodial punishments (e.g. a period of community service) have been shown to produce a far lower re-offending rate than banging people up.

Re the example above - I think that something that happens behind closed doors between two consenting adults should not punished. It may be distasteful to you, but then again, it's none of your business.

In the state of North Carolina, one of the only laws that has been on the books since the state became a state is having sex in any other manor than Pilgrim Style. (Man on top of the women) What I want to know is if someone is there to see it, are they not committing a crime by watching? (Peeping tom) I mean how is someone going to know what you are doing unless they are breaking the law to find out?

since when does anal sex not hurt anybody?

haha, but seriously, i do believe there are victimless crimes, and i dont think they should be punished. however, i realize i'm not going to magically change any laws, and you cannot pretend the law / society doesnt exist, so it works best to avoid breaking the law altogether.

but if you can do it and not get caught, go for it! just realize the risks are there, even if unfair.

I think it's outrageous that the system would even bother with such a petty charge (unless it was done against your will) especially when we have much worse things going on around us.
but in all honesty- yes i do believe that the system would have such charge.and depending on who you are and how much money you have they could push the max punishment.

I heard something about that. I forget where i saw it though. The man who proposes it is just moronic. Here in Lake county Florida, you can't say "Fu**" in public, aint liberty grand?
