Relationships between first cousins have been in and out of favour from a purely legal point of view in the UK over the years. I think currently its a no-no. On the other hand in the Middle East its almost encouraged. Its not a good thing from an evolutionary point of view. Is it just sex? If so then its probably not worth the strife this is bound to cause, (I'm assuming you're in North America, where there will be mixed feelings on copulating cousins) so I would say either keep it secret or call it quits. p.s. why did you want to tell us about your figure, is that relevant somehow?

According to the laws of the US, yes.

However, there are many countries and cultures that allow it. For example, my husband's aunt and uncle are married to each other with 3 kids, even though they are first cousins. This was allowed because they were born, raised, and married in Italy. It's totally acceptable there.

I can tell you the reason why it is prohibited in the states, (and it is pretty evident in my husband's cousins), is because it causes defects in the offspring. This is especially the case if you both have genes which will make the offspring predisposed to develop certain conditions.

I'd abstain, if at all possible from having a sexual relationship with my first cousin. There are plenty of other fish in the sea.

No - just don't have kids or try to get married - be discreet...BTW children of cousin-cousin relationships have a 7% chance of some form of birth defect as opposed to 4% for the general population.

Some idiot writer for a daytime soap thought the viewers would enjoy watching a storyline about two cousins that fall in love and have sex.Can you imagine this idiot being the headwriter of the show? Of course 99% of the viewers were completely offended and disgusted. It's wrong, grosse and weird on so many levels...

Sexual relations between 1st cousins is legal in some states. It is illegal in others (obviously). Check this page...

Now, I'll get all preachy on you and tell you that God forbids sex outside of wedlock. So if'n y'all ain't hitched, y'all should keep your pecker in yer pants.

No sex out of wedlock. That's Gods rules.

By the way, sex between brothers and sisters used to be allowed. How else would Cain and Able have had children. But it was in the book of Deuteronomy, after the human genome had become polluted due to sin, that God forbid sex (marriage) between closer relatives. This was for health reasons.

Why would you want to? Why would anyone want to? A first cousin is very close to your bloodline, they're the children of your parents brother or sister, which means that their genetics are very close to your own.

Kings and Queens a long time ago used to marry cousins however they were further down the bloodline.

It's incestuous and emotionally depraved.

Why should it be wrong ? In my family I have four cousins who married their own cousins : all are good couples with healthy children and happy people. Forget about this Baptist morality... Be a real Christian !

YES!!! even your 2nd 3rd and 4th. After that, some question the morality of it all. Some say even up to your 7th and 8th cousin.

I'm from Alabama and I say - YES!! How can this even be a question for you? There's a reason for the social frown cast upon inbreeding - it's not good for the offspring that may result! Congenital diseases, deformities, etc ... you'd weaken the gene pool. And it's reaally nasty to think about... Ick.
