I am 24 weeks, and have got a really sticky-out belly now. the problem is that the belly is firm sometimes, but a little bit soft others, shouldnt it be firm now? or am I just putting on more weight than I realise? My clothes dont fit anymore and I just feel really slobby and yuk. Is that normal?

umm, for the second person who answered, what was that all about? did I sound like I was asking for weight loss tips or something? I was just wondering if it was normal, not deciding to stop eating!

I am 20wks pregnant and i feel the exact same way! Its weird cause some days my stomach is bigger than others... so some days i feel fat... some days i feel like a whale! lol. And yes most of my clothes don't fit me and i can't even breathe in to squeeze into anything! lol.

I think its normal! My doc told me that depending on what position baby is lying in - depends on how big the stomach looks at any given time - maybe thats why yours is firm some days and soft others ... baby's position!

I think its normal to feel fat/slobby/yuck - i mean it is a major change to our bodies... especially when you can't fit into your clothes and when you look down all you see is a stomach that didn't exist before! lol. Whenever i feel like that i just remind myself that its a temporary thing being done to ensure baby is well and healthy - and that once baby is born i can hit the gym in a big way! lol.

Don't feel bad about yourself.... we are sacrificing ourselves for the greater good... for our baby!

Many well wishes to you and your baby!

You shouldn't worry. As long as your Doctor feels that you are at an appropriate weight. If your feeling down try taking a walk. Exercise is good for you during a pregnancy and will lift your spirits.

Sounds like it's your first pregnancy yes? Its just that you're used to your old body and pregnancy does a lot to change it. Boobs, butt, tummy, thighs - they're all going to get bigger. Just worry about having a healthy pregnancy and deal with getting back into shape after baby is here.
