I think it's natural to be jealous sometimes, but when you let that emotion take over you it's can be very bad. You should turn your jealousy into motivation to improve yourself or make yourself better. If you jealousy turns into hate then you got a problem. Hate eventually destroy you from the inside out.

Yes, it is sad how people who are out of control and have low self esteem are feeling worse because of being jealous.Irrational jealousy is indeed a curse.
However, it there is something the other person is doing to make them feel jealous, or gives them a reason to mistrust them, I can see why somebody would have those feelings.Still a negative, destructive emotion.

If it's something you live with constantly, or experience strongly, then it's a curse. Believe it or not, it can be positive in small doses. If you're jealous of someone who is better than you at something you want to be good at, it can motivate you to work harder at it. Also, if you're a bit jealous of someone checking out your partner, it reminds you that you value that person and don't want to lose them, hence motivating you to treat your partner better and give him/her your appreciation.

No, a course is something that stays with us. We all aren't jealous, and only certain things makes certain people jealous. I would call it a human flaw, rather then a curse.

We can all overcome character defects with help from our Creator but you need to pray about it. The fact that you are willing to try a prayer is an act of faith. I have problems with selfishness amongst other things.
