The washer is mounted on a solid wooden pedestal. It doesn't walk during it's high speed spin, but it does make a lot of noise. The vibration is fairly noticeable and the vibration noise can be heard upstairs. Is this normal? I have one more week before the warranty is over. Thanks

It is not normal for a machine to be this audible. You have not mentioned how long you have had this problem or if it has gotten noticeably worse with time.
I had the same problem but it was detected early on and fixed immediately. The vibration was so noticeable during the spin cycle that it would make machine walk.
This is not normal. I had it checked and a fault was found when the repair service turned up, I suggest you call in while you have time.

Has it always been this noisy? If so here is two possibilities:
1) A defect. (obvious)
2) There are usually shipping bolts, that have to be removed when the washer is first installed. Maybe one or more of them were overlooked? Check the installation section of the owners manual for info. It will tell you where to look, this just may do it.
Otherwise call Sears quick!
