If wearing high heels and pantyhose is os uncomfortable, why do women do it?

because we're suicidal and feel the need to afflict pain by wearing heels. my friend (who's a guy) was a dead hooters girl for halloween and the entire night he was whining about the pantyhose! sorry, that was just a little side story....

I don't find either to be uncomfortable. Heels may be a little awkward to get used to, but not uncomfortable. I like the way pantyhose look and feel, so I see no downside there. Besides, if I'm going to take the time to wear makeup for my face, why not put the same effort into my legs, too?

Depends on the woman.
Basically, in my opinion, wearing apparel of that nature for short periods of time are ok. Moderations and also, depends on why you are wearing it. Time and a place for clothes like that. Just like any guy hates to wear a suit and tie all the time, women like to have variety in their clothes. Some women are more comfortable in high heels and feel almost naked when not wearing them.
As for the other side of it, they can be uncomfortable over long periods of time. Some women just do not care for them. Some have to wear them for work, or have had bad experiences in them that have caused them to have a negative opinion towards them. They really are a dressy type of clothes that do not necessarily lend to everyday comfort wear. But, again, depends on the woman, the situation, the climate, the given weather, the occupation, her upbringing, her life experiences, her expectations of herself or of others onto herself.

So, basically, some do it because they like to do it, some do it because they are forced to do it, and some just don't...

I wear pantyhose all the time and I actually like them. Haven't worn heels much, but I think they look nice, and I want to start wearing them more often and maybe work my way up to high ones.

Because so many of us wear stockings and heels, and they are super comfortable, but you'll never know which ones. or maybe you will, you just look for those of us who cross ourl legs and smile, We are usually slim, well dressed, and long legged.

Its the others that have problems with heels and pantyhose, because they buy the wrong size or the cheap stuff, that scratches and itches and pulls.

I wear stockings instead of pantyhose and they are perfectly comfortable, and if you wear stockings with your heels they don't hurt either unless you weigh 150 pounds.

The girls that wear heels with bare feet deserve to have their feet hurt, and the ones that complain about pantyhose should loose weight , and wear some stockings. I love wearing them, and they look great too.

To look pretty. I wear socks and boots. Occasionally I will wear tights or nylons under my boots, and once a year I will wear heels, but from wearing boots for the past couple years...they're just so comfortable that I think I forgot how to walk in 3 inch heels...

Why do men wear ties? Or suits? Those are uncomfortable. It's because we have to. We are all expected to dress certain ways in certain circumstances. You can blame social norms for this! You dress differently when you go to an interview, a wedding, the beach, or a day at the park. Think about how weird you would look if you wore an interview outfit to the beach. See...social norms strong at work. We are all sheep.
