what is the percentage you recieve from your regular pay once you go unemployment compensation?

It depends on which state your former employer is in. The percentage could be as low as 40% and as high as 80% or more depending on the state regulations but there is always a maximum benefit cap in effect, too; people who are working at a decent wage before they become unemployed usually only get a fraction of their regular pay because most state benefit caps are around $1200/month neighborhood.
