Anti-virus are usually used to trace and delete viruses. And firewall are used to prevent vires access ur pc, so why dnt u use a firewall (i'll recomand ZONEALARM) and afterwards if u want u can also install an anti-virus(I'll recomand AVG and Norton).
**But dnt think zat after u've installed firewalls u'r @ peace, u'll need 2 update them regulary...
If the firewall or the anti virus doesn't effect the virus, then i'am sorry, the solution is 2 format ur PC!! **And dont do any backup before formatting, who knows which file contains the virus!!!

If someone has compromised your computer the first things to do is get offline. Use a good virus scanner to clean the trojan. If your using a Windows OS update your security patches and enable the Windows Firewall. If you are using an account that has admin access to the PC then you need to remove yourself from the Administrators group. Never use your PC or Browse the net with admin rights.

get a spyware and trojan scanner like "ad-aware" or "spybot" (google them, they're free) and let them have a go at it.
You could run a firewall and stop that application running, but once it's on they find ways around firewalls.
Otherwise you'd better start making plans to save all your documents off your drive and go for a windows re-install.
But then without a good firewall and virus scanner they'll all come back !!

First things first is to get rid of the backdoor. Then proceed with what the others are saying.
