And take on the new friends perhaps, possibly discarding the old by the nature of the transition, taking on new circumstances.A new life, the life you might have had, could be better or worse, could lead to the same conclusion? A bit like sliding doors if you've seen that?

I'd like to just see what the middle class version of me and my life would look like. I wonder if the parallel to chronically alcoholic and abusive parents is a pair of hippies, or just nice stable, kind pair of neurotic professionals?? Either way, not having a memory of all the terrible violent and alcohol related catastrophes would surely have a role in making my alternate ego, someone who felt like they could stay and be in whichever universe a little more than i do here and now.

It s a good question and i think a rational response would be to want things to be exactly the same as they, as to be content with what we have in front of us, is the universal truth of inner peace and all this searching is partially hopeless wanting...so kinda on the fence, would love to see how things may have been different, particularly around how much hurt and suffering i was witness and victim to, but all the same those things make me the person i am today, and even though i'm having issues adjusting (to the world i live in) whatever doesn't kill me can only make me stronger, so maybe in another universe i would be one of the people who decided to give-up much earlier than i should have.....wow such great thoughts, brilliant question-thanx

The fact here is that I learn better when I am able to compare things by placing them parallel to on an other. If therefore I have an opportunity to slip into a universe parallel to the present one then I would use that opportunity to learn about my life so far. I often think in terms of what if that instead of this would have happened. Would I be a different person if my circumstances were different? And the more generally, what if Hitler had won the war? And what difference it would have made if that day I stayed at home? Thoughts like these come to every body's mind, I believe. But we are unable to prove them. This is most tantalising thing. Last night I watched in TV a drams - Random Quest, that was all about the multiverse and interchange of people.

I haven't seen the movie, but look forward to it...
What about time distortion? Have you looked into the string theory? Would the universes be in-fact parallel in time? This brings about a lot of questions for me.
I am the kind of person that has NO close friends and few acquaintances, so it wouldn't matter much to me. On the other hand, i dig my life and wouldn't want any thing to change. With my luck it would be for the worse. although i don't know how much more broke i can be than what i already am! I will have to think on that.

Well i think if it is a paralled universe, thn maybe my life would be the same emotionally , just different physically. How? Well, my physical appearance, and maybe personality traits altered by my enviornment. I cannot say it would be better or worse, because that is subjective. I may experience things there that i may like more, but there are other things there I may not enjoy, just like here. Thus I wouldnt expect my life to be a whole lot different in terms of emotions. I would however love to take more risks since those in the parallal universe may do things a little more differently. Maybe they have less rules? Maybe homosexuality is normal therE? Maybe Christianity is perceived as a cult, While Wicca is the most popular religion. Excellent question my friend. I enjoied answering it as much as you enjoied asking it. Thank You for the stimulating question.

I wouldn't do it. I'm quite happy here with the friends and the life I have. Even if I knew that it was a better life, I still wouldn't do it, not if it meant giving up my friends. i haven't seen the film sliding doors, but I would still be me and shaped by the experiences I've already had. The other 'me' may have had very different experiences

Your parallel self. i think your parrellel self is stable interior you ;) we are 2 halves of one. The physique and the Soul. The physique we coach what we could desire to instruct, one among you. the different is the you that probably no person completely is accustomed to relies upon how open you're etc in basic terms think of, we live in the universe and there's a universe good interior you, your concepts. what's in between the two universes..........the physique!

I would like to swap at various points in my life just to see what the other side was like but then again, I probably wouldn't be any better off than I am now. Good question though.

I would love to know what would have happened if I had made some different choices. And, I loved Sliding Doors!

Sorry, not a proper question. If you're asking, could I swap, then "No" is the answer. If you're asking would I if I could, the answer is "No". I have enough problems and blessings without having to learn a whole lot more!

I would lose too many of the good bits of my life, such as my kids, my life at Uni, just for the sake of a few silly mistakes.
