You need to go have your left leg checked out by your physician. Take some food and water with you in case you have a long wait. If your doctor is moody then be sure to wear some ear plugs in case you get yelled at. I hope that you feel better soon and find a nice friendly physician.

Without someone looking at your knee there is NO way anyone here can tell you why your knee is hurting. Since it hurts to walk you need to see the doc before you do any more damage to the knee if there is something wrong with it.

It could be very serious like Thrombosis. You could have a clot in your leg somewhere. You need to get to the doctor as soon as possible. It happened to me.

sounds like a shin splint. alternate heat and ice.
