I have a feeling my boyfriend, the father of my soon to be baby, is going to propose to me on Christmas and I reallly dont want to get married, I care for him, but I dont think I love him enough for all that. He does not know that I know what he is going to do, and he plans on doing it infront of family and friends. How do I turn him down nicely??

Talk to hi m before hand say "You know what I heard that (insert someones name even famous) is getting married I dont think i am ready for that geez(<----or something that sounds like you) I think that is such a big decision I dont want to get married for a couple more years."

I feel like you shouldn't just wait and let this happen. There will be no "nice" way to let him down in front of an audience. It is sure to be emotionally charged and end badly. What I'm thinking is that you need to head it off at the pass, one of two ways. Either get someone close to both of you who knows what's going to happen to talk to him and prevent him from proposing or encourage him to do it privately. Or, find a private time very, very soon to have a heart-to-heart with him and tell him that you are happy with your relationship the way it is and that you are glad he understands that the two of you don't have to be married in order to be friends or even boyfriend/girlfriend and raise a child together. Tell him you realize the two of you got the cart before the horse in getting pregnant at this stage of your relationship and that there's no reason to make things even more out-of-line by having a knee-jerk reaction and getting married just because of the baby when it obviously isn't the right thing at the right time.

Gurl, either right it in a letter, or do lyk sum religious asains do and marry him and let the love come after, i mean after all ur bringing his child in the world, n he might not take it well, n u culd end up a single mother, but other wise u shuld tell him from now, write it in a letter, or suck it up n jus tell him face to face, cos it will b worse if u dont..
