Ask your state bar association they might be able to give you a referal.

Several possibilities:

1) Ask your county or state bar association for a referral. Be sure they know it's a real estate matter.

2) Attorneys tend to know each other's area of interest, skills, and expertise. Find an attorney who specializes in another area of law, and ask who they would recommend or use.

3) ask friends and associates who they've used, or would recommend.

4) Consider using one of the larger firms in your area. A one-man shop doesn't have the resources or contacts that a larger firm has. The larger firm can assign several people to work on your case if it warrants it. They will probably have people that specialize in the area involved in your case, too. The one-man operation may be great with wills and divorces, but weak on real estate intricacies. Keep in mind that they didn't get to be a big operation by losing most of the time.

Remember the old saying: "You get all the justice you can afford". If this is a high-dollar-value suit, you're going to have to spend big money to defend yourself. If it's for a few thousand dollars, you might want to offer to settle now, rather than run up the legal bill.

I would ask someone you trust for a referral. That's the best way. Good luck.

Unfortunately money is the best way.The more you pay an attorney the more he has to pay the judge.
