hi,
my name is ruby and i am also trying to look for my birth parents. first of all, how old are you, if you are at least 18 you are kinda in luck. but it really doesn't matter, like me i do not no anything about my birth parents also, so my advise to you is to fist see if your foster parents, says something, try to ask them, but not so where it will hurt their feeling. you need to no your ssi, and what agency you came from, and we together can work this thing out, trust and belive me when i say you are not alone
any more questions, just ask me at diamondclayton@yahoo.com

Talk to your adoptive parents and see what they know. If you were adopted at 10 yrs. you should remember your "old" name and go from there. Maybe you won't want to know your real parents when you find out more about them. What can you remember about your childhood. Most at 10 can remember quite a bit. The new birth certificate sounds like you needed to be hidden from someone and should not go looking.

I'm so sorry to hear that you was adopted i think the best way to find you real parents is to go to the hospital that they had you at and ask for the birth certificate that they signed your real name on and if you know your real parents name than ask the people for there social society number or you can look them up on the computer.

Usually the best starting point is your foster parents. They sure should be able to appreciate your interest in finding your roots. If they don't know who your birth parents are, they should be able to give you details on where they adopted you from. If it was done in a legal manner, there definitely is some record usually in the city/town where the adoption took place. With your foster parents' names and the date of your adoption, they should be able to pull-up your records. Good luck.

Please go to the following website (if in the USA):
http://www.peoplefinders.com/ Public Record, People Search service and more. http://www.peoplefinders.com/ lists associated names the person you're looking for may be using as well as Age, Birth Date, Phone, Address, City, State, and Possible Relatives (if any). Enter in the name of the person you are looking for and feel free to select the state you knew last the person was in, and look at the matches you make with that.
Also go to http://www.zabasearch.com/ Free People Search Engine. The #1 Free People Search and Public Information Search Engine and then enter the person's name where it says: Enter a Full Name and Click Submit, and look at the Results. Hope you find who you are looking for!

Maybe you could find a good private investigator to help you track them down. Or if you know their names you might be able to google them, but I'd go for a private investigator.
