Europe uses a diffrent voltage, so you couldn't even plug it in without a transformer.

simple answer, no. If you buy all your films and games in america and bring them over then yes but you are not so no. I do not know to much about the system in detail but sony have put regional controlling into games and films. Also, if you did not know, you can not resell the games you buy because the CD registers to you machiene. That sucks. My advice, wait like the rest of us and get it during our launch. Out of interest, have you a HD TV or else it is pointless you getting a PS3 because you will see no improvement in graphics.

Whats the point, just wait until march. By then more games would have been released and you wouldn't have problems connecting it to your socket. Also what happens if your ps3 from America breaks down, then what. Fly back to America with your receipt, don't bother. It just means more money.

i think you would need a ntsc to pal converter which you would connect between the ps and the tv .type (ntsc to pal converter)into ebay ,it will cost you about £20
