No women do not rape men. It just doesn't happen, ever.

There seems to be this myth out there that says that men only get an erection if they're turned on. Not so. Getting an erection is an uncontrollable, PHYSICAL response to PHYSICAL stimulation. So yes, a man can achieve an erection and penetrate a woman against his will. Remember decades ago during rape trials? The defense for the rapist would make a big deal that the victim showed signs of arousal during the rape and used these signs as an indication of consent? Same thing.

Women DO rape men. Case in point: the woman in Edmonton who kidnapped a guy off the street, tied him up in her basement, tortured him for days, sodomizing him with the leg of a stool, then killed him. Naturally a local woman's group is lobbying for this 'lady's' early release from prison.

Women never abuse men? What garbage. A recent Stats Canada study "The General Social Survey" done in 2005, believe, surveyed a representative sample of Canadians. They asked both men and women if they had been the victim of abuse, and if they had abused their partners. Results indicated that an equal number of men are victims of violence at the hands of their female partners.
In 1999 female university students were polled. They found that 29% of their sample of 978 women college students reported having hit a male partner. Of the women who had hit, two thirds (62%) checked as one of the reasons "I do not believe my actions would hurt my partner" or "I believe that men can readily protect themselves so I don't worry when I become physically aggressive." The lower probability of injury for assaults by women is probably also one of the reasons why the cultural norms are more tolerant of assaults by women on their partners.
It should be noted that "my partner was being abusive" was one of the less-frequently stated reasons. The reasons the respondents were more ready to agree to were efforts to use physical violence to control the relationship. They would assault a partner if he were not sensitive to her needs, or they wanted to gain his attention, or he was not listening. These are not anomalous results from a few "extreme" women, as the ns show. Of the 978 respondents, 128 (or 13.1%) assaulted their partner for not being sensitive, and 123 (or 12.6%) for not paying enough attention. A young man contemplating a long-term relationship might well decide against it if he stands over a 10% chance of being physically assaulted by a woman seeking to control the relationship. Put another way, it is less risky to be verbally assaultive than it is to not be sensitive to your partner's needs or not paying enough attention to your partner. Only 10.1 percent of the women surveyed hit their partner for being verbally assaultive.

Um... it goes both ways. Watch Psycho... watch The Last House on the Left... So it's not allowed... because it doesn't happen that way. You're just saying that because either a) you haven't seen enough movies, b) you're making something up to prove your point or c) you really see it that way because you have ignored the violence towards women and in that case I suggest we may have an issue on our hands... but moving on... Not all women hate men. Just like men find some things women do stupid and pointless... women think that some things men do are stupid and pointless. All people laugh at others. We make fun of what we do not understand... but if we think all women hate men... then that means all men hate women too. Violence again anybody isn't allowed. Or it wouldn't be called violence. However, if a certain type of violence fits a plot, then thats too bad. It's how it will be. But I think women abusing men is seen as less serious in the movies because domestic violence towards women is still a big issue that wasn't even adressed in society until recently. So if you're going to make a movie, you won't pick the main story to be something that everyone will hate right away.

WHAT?! You've got to be kidding me!
Women abuse men all the time, but men are conditioned by society (women and other men) to not say anything because they'll be looked down upon. I get on men's cases for them not trying to see things through women's points of view, but you are clearly a case where you need to see things from men's points of view and REALITY. We'll never know how many men are being abused because they're silenced.
Women are just as physically abusive - hitting, kicking, throwing things and emotional abusive - screaming, putting you down, insulting you - as men are.

Grant it, men rape each other more than women rape men, but women do rape men. When older women sleep with young boys (even if the boy seems willing) that is sick and disgusting and it's statuatory rape. Women can rape men by using objects. Women can rape men by getting him into a position where he can't move and she is able to stimulate him until he gets an erection and she can take advantage of him. Yes, you can get an erection when you're being stimulated but it's against your will.

I can't believe how ignorant you are!

Well miss know-it-all, I've worked in criminal law for many years. I have prepared three trials where men were raped by women. It does happen and your generalizing and hiding from the truth is offensive to me as a legal support staff and to the men who are victims or rape.

Um, yes, women have raped men, it's not reported as much because often the guy is MORE embarrassed and feels MORE upset than the woman would. Men also sometimes get raped by other men.

I also know lots of women who physically and psychologically torture men. So I think the reality is that some people are just awful, and psychologically messed up.

Your words are very harsh, first men do not always rape. and you have not been listening as women can and do rape men, and women and children. Rape is not about sex, it is about power. I would recommend you do your research next time

Men are abused and raped by women, but because men by nature experience "arousal" they usually aren't believed or they get laughed at for thinking being jumped for sex is a crime. Women get away with alot because men don't want to look unmanly if their wives or girlfriends physically abuse them and because we raise boys never to hit a girl.
