Very carefully.

Basically You have internet connection plug into router.

Second: plug computers into router. It's most liekly setup for DHCP so the computers will get local IP addresses automatically. After that you should be good to go.

You run a cable from the modem to the marked port on the back of the router (Usually says "upload" on it - if not sure, check the manual). Then you run cables from the other ports to each of your computers. Run the set up disk that came with the router on one of the computers. It will set everything up for you. Then go to each of the other computers and run the Network Wizard in the Control Panel.

well depends on how you want to do it, if the machines have wireless network cards. the laptop shoudl have one.
so the cable goes like this
if its a cable modem
cable modem -->router (wan/internet port)
port 1 to pc1 via rj45 cat 5
port 2 to pc2 via rj45 cat 5
then wireless to your laptop i would advise reading the manual on wep/wpa keys.
if its dsl
same way for pc1, 2 and laptop
just rj11 to wan/internet port so its not going to the modem first.
