Anyone seen the movie Darkness?

This movie creeps me out. What is going on in it? Did the mom know about the satanic ring thing? Why were they trying to get total darkness? Are the children that haunt the house evil?

I saw the movie, and was stupid enough to pay $7.50 to see it in the theatre. Man, what a ripoff!! The children were not evil. They had been abducted and sacrified in the madmen's ritual's. I don't think the mom knew about the satanic ring, she was too stupid to know about anything.
