No. A lot of the good information is given on the last day, sometimes even hints on questions. If you attend the class it'll be more benefitial than anything.

The last day before finals at my school is "reading and review day". There are no courses offered that day, it is solely for studying.
I see university courses from both sides of the spectrum; I am a graduate student who teaches classes as well as takes them. I would advise anyone else to not skip the last day. The last day typically has a guided review (by someone who knows what's on that final exam!) if there is no new meaterial presented (and if there is, do you really want to take a final on stuff you haven't seen?)
Many times instructors have surprises for the last day. Two of the classes I teach this semseter will get to go on a field trip and see the principles we've dealt with all semester in action. Given that this annual event is the highest-rated component of the course each year, I'd say that is definitely worthwhile for them to attend that day!

Depends on what you're studying and how well you grasp new information. Working and going to school can be difficult. If you can get away with not working and being a full time student, do that. No, I don't care about watching the "kids" have fun while I work. Hard work and studying is part of college. If you can't do that then save your time and money. Yes, you get breaks during exams. Haven't you taken exams before? Find a good job on campus related to your major? Depends on your major and how far you are into the courses. If you have just started college then I'm guessing no.

Of course I wouldn't skip, because that's when you sometimes find out that you don't have to come to take the test because I got a good grade and can be exempt if I want to be. Plus the professors give hints as to what to study and what NOT to study. I go to every class anyways, so why skip that day.

Heck no, last week of class is when even people who have been skipping classes turn up.
lecturers will often give exam preparation hints and tips, some will even schedule their last class to be exam prep.
