First of all, you stated that he was your 'Sexual relations partner' and not your husband, right? Before you two became intimate booty call partners did you discuss whether your sexual relationship was going to be monogamist, or did you assume that it was? Communication is important.
Secondly, whether your relationship was monogamist or not doesn't justify or give you the right to disrespect, destroy, and sell your lover’s property. Remember, "What goes around comes around."

I am rather disappointed in your reaction. You let him off way too easy. Was a knife not available to permanently end his devious ways? Also, you probably made him think that he was more than just a tool. You not starting to go soft are you? There are so many more terrible things you could have done, not to mention psychological things.
