Les Paul is a model made by Gibson. It was named after the famous guitarist who still plays in New York at over 90 years of age. Gibson is and always has been known as one of the best guitar makers in the world.

well for one thing Gibson makes Les pauls..
but the Gibson les paul is a very good guitar..
but overall Gibson is a great brand so I'd stick with it.

Les paul doesn't make guitars.He's a jazz guitarist who came up with many electronic innovations,including the use of superimposing with tape loops.Gibson named the Les Paul model after him.

Both are very good, but let's not forget Fender makers of the Stratocaster...Played by Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Beck just a few of the best.

Stick with what you are comfortable with . What Quality of sound are you gettimg? Is it soft and mellow? Try just once playing at night
