Jodha Bai is sister of Rana Man Singh and wife of Akbar, the Mughal Emperor. Akbar, during his reign, found it difficult to keep the Rajputs under his control. Because Rajputs were unwilling to come under Akbar's subordination. So being a shrewd politician he chalked out a plan for befreinding them and offered Rana Man Singh to marry his sister, which Man Singh obliged. Man Singh was posted as his General (Senapati) of the Royal Army.
Jodha Bai was the only Hindu wife of Akbar the Great and from her the only son of Akbar, Selim was born.
Akbar never interfered in the religious sentiment and culture of his wife. He allowed her to perform her own religious worships regularly.
Akbar ruled India from Fateh Pur/Sikri. Because he believed that he has blessed with his only son by the famous Sheer Salim Chisty, who stayed at Fatehpur. Akbar intended to stay near the Sheer so he shifted his Capital from Delhi to Fatehpur and even named his only son as Salim, who later became known as Jahangeer and ruled India.

Jodhabai was an Asian royal from India.
It is a common belief that Jodhabai was the main wife of Akbar and the mother of Jahangir. However the literary sources clearly mention that the wife of Akbar named Mariam-uz-Zamani was Jahangir's mother. This is because Jodha Bai changed her name to Mariam-uz-Zamani.
One of Akbar's minor wives was Jodhi Bibi, daughter of Rao Mal Deo of Jodhpur from a concubine Tipu Paswan. She married Akbar in 1581.
There was another Jodhabai, wife of Jahangir, who was the daughter of Raja Udai Singh of Jodhpur.
