Why is PETA only interested in weird issues? They were last seen at a Nativity display where they thought there were live animals. Turns out the animals were statues. Why don't they protest vets who declaw cats or dog fights or something worthwhile. They could be a strong force for animal rights if they would stand up for some less exotic but equally important issues.

PETA are a collection of complete weirdos. Its that simple, they're mission statement says that they're for COMPLETE animal liberation. In other words, no pets, zoos, farms, meat, leather. International veganism forced on people whether they would choose it or not. Sometimes going to extremes, like the endorsement of and praising fire bombings on university labs that use rats.
I'm all for animal rights, but I'd pick a more worthwhile charity to represent your concern.

PETA started off long ago with some good ideas but along the way somewhere they have been over run by idiots who are so far away from saving animals that it is not funny.
They support causes that are not worth the time it takes to ask about them. They are fanatics.
There are many good charities who support and care fro animals and support things like you mentioned but PETA is not one of them.

They are only interested in issues that get a lot of press. There are a lot of animal rights groups that aren't nearly as radical as PETA.

I'm for animal rights, but PETA is just crazy and takes somethings to the extreme.

I totally agree. I think for the most part PETA is crazy...
Did you know that PETA supports BSL and the extermination of all Pit Bulls? Yeah they are great arent they?

join peta and try to influence their values.
it's ok to disagree with them, but if you want them to change
you might consider joining or making your own organization
that does better actions.
