Talk to your doctor about your pain and fatigue. Maybe they can give you a doctors note that allows you to get off from work without being dismissed.

As this Question appears amongst Aussie questions I am gunna presume you are Aussie...
Here in Australia an employer can sack you for no reason. There are no more unfair dismissal laws and if you are working under the burden of an Australian Workplace Agreement (should be called employers directive as there is very little agreement in them at all) you need to sit down and read your agreement. Find out what you were forced to agree to to get or keep your job.
backaches during pregnancy are as common if not more so than morning sickness and so is tiredness. they are both valid reasons to take time off from work (in a reasonable world) and if you have some sick days up your sleeve or some holidays I would utilise them. If you take a sick day go to your doctor and ask them for a sick note if you do take a sickie ask the doctor to simply say "_____ is unfit for work from ___/___/___ to ___/___/___ and not to mention pregnancy on the note at all.
Hope this helps

you don't necessarily get morning sickness, but your body is working overtime to grow the baby, so you'll feel other stuff, like the back pain. It's difficult to go thru that, especially early on because you aren't really showing and it's more of a concept to everyone around you. Can you not just call in sick? say you have a fever or a cold? Hopefully, they can't just dismiss you for being sick.
feel better!

No, it really is not real. I had morning affliction until eventually 15 weeks with my son. i'm 18 a million/2 weeks with this one and nonetheless get it too... this is in simple terms how my body reacts to pregnancies. some women people in simple terms deal with it harder than others. at the same time as morning affliction in many situations does get extra powerful after the first trimester it gained't inevitably be that way for all. some experience it their complete being pregnant and that's no indication to the gender of the toddler.

The backache isn't going to go away until delivery. I wouldn't take too much time off for that reason because it is going to hurt again the next time you work. Take several breaks throughout the day. I never could find anything that really made it better.

You might be becoming anemic. Next month your OB should be testing you gor the gestational diabetes and blood test to check for anemia. When I was pregnant with my first I was always really tired. And found out why. If you are anemic the doc with put you on a certain dosage of Iron pills it will help get some energy back. Good luck and talk to your doc.

Sorry that you feel so aweful hon, really should try to get plenty of rest..... one thing that helps fatigue is drinking plenty of water and yes that helps with the pain too ..... . not everyone gets morning sickness i got it bad with my girl during the first trimester....... didnt during the second.... with my middle one (boy) i had it only in second trimester....... really didnt have it at all with the third (girl) ..... best thing you can do is to rest when you are home ..... dont overwork yourself at home and take it a little slower at work .. one thing that may help if you are top heavy you should wear more supportive bras during pregnancy ..... means the sexy lace isnt good ........another thing that helped me was actually taking a walk and dont forget those nice long soaks in the tub in warm water ......... sometimes your going to need it ........ as far as taking a couple days off work save those sick days and leave cause you will want it during the third trimester ......... the last month is kinda rough

It is very typical to be tired throughout pregnancy. I would be envious if you weren't!! I am almost 32 weeks and I am dying for sleep!
But....yep....with a job...it surely can suck. Honestly, in Michigan (where I am), we are a right-to-work state...which basically means that they don't HAVE to give you a reason to terminate you. And if they do, I guess as long as it doesn't have to do with the protected classes (race, religion, sex, etc), well.....then...oh well!
If you have your time in, maybe you can utilize any sick time you have coming, vacation days, etc OR.....even FMLA (think you have to have a year in to be eligible).
But otherwise..hang in there....go to bed a lot earlier, too.
Easier said than done...there is never such a thing as enough sleep being pregnant.

I am 2 months pregnant and I feel your pain as far as the sleepiness goes. But you need to get up and go about your day because if you stay in bed your baby isn't getting what it needs from you. The regular day to day activities actually help in the development so think of it as a positive way to help the baby by going to work. As far as the sleepiness....try taking a nap when you get home from work and/or go to bed earlier. Good Luck!

Take some holiday time if you have. If not, you'll just have to deal. Try getting up and moving around more often. Try going to bed earlier in the evening. I'm 19 weeks and have had several days where I went to bed as soon as my son did - 8:30.
