Each state has their own listing..depends on where your from.

Best chance to find it is to do a search for it. Don't pay for results though....every state has them listed free...just have to research to find it.

To the person who said no such thing as unclaimed money. My husband had insurance refund money and vacation pay due from and empoyer that he didn't know about....and yes, we found it on an unclaimed website, filed a claim for it, and recieved a check.....

It does exist!!

There are a number of companies that provide unclaimed money and property. Do a search on Google to find a reputable company in your area:

When you have a bank account and you leave town you usually clean out the account, or clean out the box. If you "know" you have not done this or suspect you haven't, then write the bank and ask if you closed it out. Otherwise, once a year the newspaper will have a list of names of items or amounts of money left behind by people, and you'll have to show proper ID and describe what you left in the box in order to retrieve it. After so many years and your items or cash not being claimed I think it goes to some miscellaneous fund (can't remember the name of it)..

there's no such thing as "unclaimed money".

I'm pretty sure you got an email telling you all about the bundles of unclaimed money just waiting for you. It's a scam.
