So the Webster's dictionary definition of a civil war is : A war between opposing groups of citizens (i.e. different religions, dwellings, areas, or class) of the same country. So why does Bush deny that this is a civil war? It clearly is by definition, and before you say anything think it out, I was there, I saw it for what it really is. Do you think this is a Civil War or not, and why?

There's no question it is a civil war. The Administration doesn't want to admit it because once it is accepted as such by the American people, they will demand an immediate withdrawal. They will not accept the continued loss of American troops in the role of referee in internal Iraqi affairs.

Of course it's a civil war - and a war that will continue for generations. I can't imagine what you witnessed, but the carnage must be awful.
Bush refuses to admit this is a civil war, because he would then also have to admit that the U.S. involvement is not warranted. It's an internal strife that no one from the 'outside' can fix. Bush is there for one reason: OIL. Pure and simple. And he's allowed 655,000 Iraqis and 2,800 U.S. soldiers to die all so that the U.S.A. can capture all those rich fields of easily-accessible OIL. Bush deserves to be sentenced to death for high crimes against humanity. -RKO-
