You're radio is just picking up all the RF radiation that is around us. Power lines, your cars (and other cars) alternators, etc. You might be able to get a filter that connects to the power cords of the radio and it may get rid of most of the noise.

It's why the rest of us listen to FM. AM is very susceptible to interference. the most likely source is from your house's electrical system- especially if the buzzing sounds like it's at 60Hz.

Move the extension cords around perhaps?
Get a new radio with better AM filtering?

I have it to... i went to a healthcare professional once yet they didnt rather care all that a lot they did an audiology attempt (listening to attempt) and it became tremendous so that they left it at that yet then i have been given an MRI for something else at the same time as they got here upon that i had a mastoid cholestiotoma (not as intense because it sounds) in my good ear, they could eliminate it surgically or drain it in case you want yet they commonly go away it until eventually it receives rather undesirable See if it keeps taking place because it must be many stuff ( vertigo, tinnitus and so on.) that's in many situations not something to be anxious about yet move see a healthcare professional if it doesnt get any extra powerful

AM is a very weak signal. Many things can interfere with it. Buildings, trees, bridges, electronic devices, and you can all interfere with that signal. There is a reason FM became popular.
