but what if you go in the middle of the night, is your pee in the morning still good?

The first morning pee will be more sensitive/accurate, given it tends to be a little more concentrated and averages urine output from a longer period of time.
First morning urine use is to prevent false negatives, very early in pregnancy, when the hormones it's detecting are still fairly low.

I believe its the first urine 2-4+ hours since you last urinated, that is supposed to contain the highest content of HCG. So if you woke up @ 8a.m but hadn't peed since 4 a.m. that 8 a.m. pee would be more concentrated.
But I took my first test around 5 pm when i got home from work and it came back +. Then took another the next a.m and it came back +. So I don't know that it really matters as long as you have enough HCG.

It should be fine. They just recommend the first pee of the day because the hormones will be at their highest concentration since you've gone so long without peeing. But four hours or so since your last pee should be fine for the test.

Yes! And Ive learned that any of the day pee is fine! If your preggo the HCG is in your urine regardless its just stronger in the morning cause you have been holding it all night!

They day first morning urine. But you can take the test anytime of the day. Like most things in the human body first morning urine is usually the lowest in impurities from food and drink.

As long as it has been 4 hours since you last peed it should all be ok. In that case you should still get a accurate reading. Good luck

so long as its been a few hours its fine. they just say the first one of the morning so that its more concintrated and will more likely have the hormones its looking for.

Girl if you are pregnant, it does not matter what time you pee! It will show up.
