I hope not. Those who sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither.

I hope not. America has stood the tests for 225 years. To destroy democracy now and yet advocate it would make the value of America decrease rapidly. Will conservatives cheer him? Although I am independent, I feel that initially some will, but the intelligent people will soon realize that it was a horrible mistake and by then it will be too late.

Its sad that it would come to this. I feel that there is no reason for us to come to that state. We have proclaimed freedom for so long: what good would a police state do except help those in power convert this country to a dictatorship equal to that of Nazi Germany, Communist Russia, Modern day North Korea, or even Iraq, the country we "liberated"?

I put it this way. If this country ever becomes a police state, I will promptly leave and go to another country where "freedom" actually means something to those in power and to the people of that country....a place where people will actually take to the streets in protest and riot to get what they want....kinda like America use to do 50 years ago, but now are too afraid.

At least he would have a coherent plan based on some intellecual understanding of the realities of today.

From the questioners point of view he already sounds worse than Bush.

A problem for liberals who already call Bush Hitler. So what would they call Gingrich.............

I know Gengis Khan, but maybe not enough of them know who he was.

To conservatives perhaps Gingrich might be able to liberate America from the liberal THOUGHT POLICE, using rational analysis.

RATE GOOD DEBATE

If Gingrich is our next President, then Adolf Hitler's shattered skull located in the KGB archives will be cloned into a full Hitler. He will then be made Vice-President. After that, dogs will speak latin backwards and the Earth will reverse it's rotation. The stars will fall from the sky and the beast with seven heads and ten horns will reign fire upon the Earth.

That slimeball will never get elected, thank goodness. Too many people are aware of what a nutjob he is.

Newt has about as much of a chance of being elected President as one of my cats - and that is a good thing.
